I am grateful to be celebrating my second Mother’s Day as a mother and my thirty-first as a daughter this year. J has a “surprise” planned for me, but as he is a terrible liar, and an even worse secret-keeper, I’m pretty sure I’ve figured it out. Once my little boy is asleep, I plan on sitting with my mom on our patio, under the twinkle lights, and sharing a nice wine I’ve been saving. I still can’t believe I get to celebrate both sides of Mother’s Day now, a day of showing and receiving appreciation.
My mom being the rockstar mom and nana that she is.
